Ancholme Head 2021
Updated: Nov 10, 2021
In October the women's squad headed over to Ancholme for the annual head race to kick off the clubs winter racing. Known for being the one of the friendliest heads, and with some stunning weather, it didn't disappoint!

Although only a small number of entries were put in, Sheffield managed to pick up two wins. Not bad going considering, two of the boats were in the same category (W4+) so there could be only one winner!

There were some strong performances in the doubles, with the new pairing of Meri and Bella storming to victory in the beginner category. While a win was not on the cards for the other Sheffield double (Cat and Alex), they showed their strength and skill by obtaining the fastest time of any Sheffield crew on the day beating a number of coxed and coxless fours and quads.

All in all, good start to the 2021/22 Sheffield women's season.
