Head of the Trent 2019

Wins for the Women's Master 8+ and the Men's 4- at the Nottingham Head.

Head of the Trent (HotT) is one of the top events in the North of England, attracting a lot of 8's and 4's competition as they prepare for the big national races at the end of the season such as HORR, WHORR and VHORR.

The Women's Masters 8+ back up their dominant performance at Boston with another win at HotT making it two for two in the 2019, as they prepare for VHORR in 5 weeks time.

After a good performance at Boston, the men's 4- secured a win in their band, beating Newark by 1.4 seconds and positioning 17/88 in a division made up of 8's and 4's only.

Women's 4+ welcomed Alex Wright into the cox's seat. Having been focusing on the coxless boat this head season they put in a solid performance as they tried to repeat their dominance of last season, just losing out to some very strong university crews.

Men's masters 4x performed well after having to change their line-up due to injury. While disappointed not to defend the title they secured in the autumn, the main goal for the day was to achieve a sustainable rhythm as they prepare to race the longer distance at VHORR.

Women's 4x- were hit hard losing Bridie in the lead up to race due to injury. Jacqui stepped in to cover the void, and good promise was shown by the newly formed crew especially from Natalie who made her debut for CSRC at the race.
