St Neots Regatta 2018
St Neots regatta proved to be the most successful regatta for City of Sheffield Rowing club this year, with the Senior Men’s 8+ winning the open 8+’s competition on both Saturday and Sunday.

The regatta is run on the River Great Ouse. Crews row against one other crew in each round. Racing is over 1000m course on the Saturday and the shorter distance of 500m on Sunday.
Saturday resulted in wins for the men’s 8+ and the women’s 2x. Three other crews also made finals but were unable to win. The women’s 4+ lost their fin right at the start of their final sealing their fate and men’s 4+ lost by a bow ball on the finishing line. There was also a strong performance by the newly formed men’s 2x who showed some real promise.

Sunday saw both the men’s 8+ and women’s 2x win all four of their races cementing their dominance over the regatta. Both the men’s and women’s 4+ won their finals and solid performances were put in from the men’s 2x, the men’s and women’s 1x and the WMas 1x.
