Tom learnt to row at City of Sheffield Rowing Club as a junior in 2013 inspired by the London 2012 olympics. He then moved over to Doncaster Schools Rowing Club competing at School's Head of the River and National Schools. From there Tom attended Newcastle University before returning to City of Sheffield.
"My favourite memories with City of Sheffield are summer racing regattas and Thursday evening club training sessions. You can't beat a sunny evening tearing around the Dam."
Terence has been involved in rowing for 30 years, learning to row in Sheffield and going on to represent all three Sheffield rowing clubs, City of Sheffield, University of Sheffield and Hallam University.
After racing in all boat classes and disciplines, Terence has moved into a coaching role at City of Sheffield Rowing Club with the Men's squad. Previously, Terence has coached crews to National gold and silver medals and has coached multiple Henley Royal Regatta competitors.
Terence is qualified as IA Rowing Coach, working towards his Level 3 SCC qualification. He also holds a Level 2 S&C qualification and has experience as launch official (2006 World Rowing Cup and Head of the River Races), Henley Royal Regatta signal team member and a British Rowing Umpire with multi-lane experience.
Since Terence has started to coach the Men's squad, we have made great strides and continue to improve aiming for good results at the national events.
We have a coaching launch available for multiple sessions a week and aim to get video feedback at least once a week to help us to improve.
